GRASP

Gilmer Relief and Service Project

Each June Ellijay First United Methodist Church hosts a work retreat. Youth and adults from several different churches come to our area to paint the exterior of homes, build/repair wooden porches and wheelchair ramps, painting, yard work, and other minor home repair jobs. There is no charge for their work.

GRASP is an opportunity for youth to become involved in a mission experience. We serve the elderly, handicapped, and economically disadvantaged in Gilmer County by completing projects like painting, yard work, porches and wheel-chair ramps, and minor repairs. If you would like to apply to receive benefits from this mission, or volunteer to help with this mission, contact Leanne Love
