Cheryl Smith is our organist. She joined us on Sunday, September 3, 2006. She lives in Calhoun with her husband, David, who is a hospital chaplain at Gordon Hospital. Cheryl's parents were missionaries in Africa, so she grew up there in Ghana and Nigeria. She and her sister were sent to boarding school in Pennsylvania for their high school education, and it was there that Cheryl auditioned for organ lessons and began her love of the organ. She graduated with a Bachelor in Music Education from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. Cheryl has served as organist in a number of churches while her husband was pastor. Their two children daughter, Mindy, and son, Matthew,  were born in Alabama.
